Register of Operators of Electronic Communication Networks and Services Regulations

Any companies interested in operating networks and providing electronic communication services within Spanish territory are obligated to first notify the CNMC so that they can be entered into the Operator Register, in agreement with the following regulations.

This is a requirement by law for a Telecoms operator.

How it all started

Established in 2003, Telitec was born solely to provide an internet connection to the community within Moraira, Alicante. Building its own network of a wimax antenna-based system, providing internet speeds with packages of 2Mb, 4Mb and 6Mb.

Now remember, this was in the days of dial up, it took sometime while you listened to the dialling tone and screeching sound of the very slow internet connection.

Some of us could only dream of a super-fast fibre optic connection.

Telitec Wireless Internet

This is a Wimax network (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access). This technology is a wireless broadband communication based on a frequency transmitted over a wide area. Providing a point to point wireless network.

At Telitec we have increased the wireless internet network.

Coverage

Areas such as Oliva, Monte Pego, Denia, Javea, Calpe, Benidorm, Altea and down the coast in Torrevieja, Playa Flamenca, Cabo Roig and San Miguel de Salinas, to name just a few.

As we progressed to grow Telitec, with the best internet in Spain we extended the wireless internet service to Murcia. Covering San Javier, Cartagena, La Manga and many more.

Telitec also established Networks covering Urbanizations.

For example, Urbanization Camposol, a large populated area that had no other infrastructure for telephone or internet connections. Plus, where none of the main internet providers in Spain would deploy.

Having our own Network meant that we could not only offer full time contracts, but also on Part Time Contracts.

This allowed the Expats to switch on an off the internet and not paying all year round.

Introducing More Services

Merging with Fonicatel, Telitec quickly introduced Low Cost Calls.  Providing a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) service with the wireless internet.

Connecting clients with a way to reduce bills on the calls they made home from their Movistar landline.

With our amazing 1 cent per minute package for international calls, offering a cheaper alternative to Movistar, Orange and Vodafone. This also made it possible to provide an affordable internet connection with dial up.

ADSL

Around 2009 ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) was introduced next, working on the Movistar infrastructure.

ADSL became a rapidly growing internet connection for many. Expat clients were very happy that they could speak to us in their own language. More importantly keeping in contact with family at home.

Skype Video Calling or by emailing  photo´s so that they could keep feeling more connected to loved ones at home.

Mobiles was our next step

Teaming up with Hits.es as an agent, Telitec soon became the top agent. Offering a great PAYG Mobile service, or a monthly mobile contract. Plus no permanent time, in other words, no fixed contract in Spain.

Telitec have now added in a second mobile service, with shared mobile packages and have amazing international call rates and packages. Including unlimited mobile calls both National and International. Mobile Data packages starting from 3GB up to 50GB. Again, been able to offer coverage on Movistar, Vodafone & Orange´s networks.

In addition to the Mobile Data, we also introduced 4G service, using all the main provider networks in Spain.

Telitec Continue to Grow with Fibre

2018 was the start of our latest and ongoing project, Fibre Internet. This has required a large investment, not only in money but time and effort by Team Telitec. Applying for correct documentation and permits form town halls, sourcing equipment, training staff to deployment of fibre optic cable into the street and finally to the client. FTTH (Fibre To The Home)

We looked at areas where the main providers had no plans to deploy and worked with community. Starting locally in Benitachell, we have grown this to Javea, Moraira, Teulada, Benissa and due to start in Calpe this year. Telitec also has coverage in Murcia, with plans to keep deploying in other areas that have been forgotten by the main providers.

Along with Telitec Fibre, we can also provide Fibre internet all over Spain working with all the main providers to do this.

Telitec 2020-21

Telitec continue to make sure that all the services we provide are the best possible. Each client is unique to us. Infrastructure available in each area determines which service is the best for the individual, along with their requirements.
